Hidden Valley Country Club

Hidden Valley Country Club is a private club in Reno, Nevada that opened in 1956. It is one of 7 clubs and courses we cover in the Reno–Sparks area. The club is member-owned, so dues and assessments are set by the membership rather than by an outside operator. The club plays 18 holes on a William F. Bell Jr. design measuring 7,300 yards. The course itself dates to 1958. It was renovated in 2024 by Gary Brawley. Hidden Valley is described both by the club and by golf trade press as the first private country club in Nevada, founded in 1956. The course was designed by the mid-century architect William F. Bell Jr. and reworked in 2024 by Gary Brawley, who rebuilt the bunkering, reshaped ten greens and installed a new irrigation system. The club's racquet programme is weighted toward pickleball, with six pickleball courts against a single tennis court. Troon's private-club division was engaged in December 2025 to run golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage, and membership. Membership is offered in 3 published categories (Proprietary Golf, Junior Executive and Social), though the club does not publish initiation fees or dues. Beyond golf the club lists swimming pool, fitness center, tennis courts (1), pickleball courts (6), dining venues, youth programming and clubhouse.
